Wooden breakfast board / snack board made from various European woods

A cutting board is usually the everyday all-rounder. A work board is often larger and/or thicker – ideal if you prep a lot and want an especially stable work surface.

For comfortable prep, we recommend a length of at least around 40 cm for work boards. That gives you enough space for vegetables, meat and larger quantities without feeling cramped.

You’ll find, among others, live-edge (natural) boards, round cutting boards, boards with a handle, and sturdy end-grain chopping blocks. There are also knife boards and wood-slice styles – functional and decorative.

A juice groove is great for juicy foods like fruit, tomatoes or meat. It catches liquids and helps keep your countertop clean.

With end grain, the wood fibers stand upright. That makes chopping blocks especially durable and very knife-friendly – perfect for intensive cutting and chopping.

One-piece boards are made from a single piece of wood and look especially natural. Laminated boards (e.g., end-grain blocks) are constructed for stability and can be extremely robust. The best choice depends on your use: everyday all-rounder or heavy-duty work.

Wash with warm water, a little mild dish soap and a soft sponge. Dry thoroughly and ideally let it air-dry upright. Please don’t soak the board.

No. Dishwashers, prolonged moisture and high heat can warp wood or cause cracks. Please clean by hand only.

If the surface looks dry, occasional oiling with a food-safe oil is recommended. It protects the wood and brings out the grain beautifully.
