Our high-quality wooden placemat made from oiled hazelnut wood coasters with bark is versatile and adds a natural touch to your home. Each placemat measures approx. 35 x 35 x 1.4 cm and consists of handmade placemats and coasters made from European hazelnut wood.

The coasters are assembled from 14 mm thick mini hazelnut planks of different lengths and fixed in place with round timbers. The hazelnut wood is oiled, making it easy to wash and can be used up to a certain degree of heat resistance.

These coasters are not only suitable for glasses and cups, but can also be used as trivets. Because they are handmade, the sizes vary and each set is unique.

To keep the surface smooth and resilient, we recommend treating the wood regularly with a natural oil – such as cold-pressed linseed oil. The oil protects against moisture, enhances the wood grain, and gives it a warm appearance.

Apply the oil sparingly to the clean, dry surface using a soft cloth. Wipe off any excess after about 15 minutes and allow it to dry completely – ideally overnight.

Avoid soaking in water for extended periods.
Keep away from direct heat or sunlight.
Oiled wood may darken slightly over time – this is a natural process.
