Our simple menu card with basting rings is a versatile product that can be used not only as a menu card, but also as a drinks menu, guest book or wedding book. Here are all the details you need to know about our product:
Material: The front and back of our menu card are made of MDF wood panels with a thickness of 5mm. Some of our wooden boards are FSC© certified, which means that they come from responsible sources. We offer a wide range of different types of wood and you can find an overview of these on our website.
Size: Our wooden menu card measures 24 x 34 cm and is between 1 and 3 cm thick, depending on the filling.
Surface treatment: We offer our wooden menus raw, oiled and varnished. Raw wood has the advantage of the unadulterated feel and smell of the wood, but is very susceptible to fingerprints and dirt. Oiled wood menus still feel like real wood and are darker than raw wood, but the surface is sealed so that dirt can no longer penetrate the wood. Lacquered wooden menus seal the wood completely and make the surface smoother. They are very hygienic to clean and can also be disinfected
Production: Our wooden menus are made in Germany, and we produce them ourselves in-house.
Color combinations: With many surface treatments and wood types, many color combinations can be realized.
Engravable or laser-cut surface: We also offer an engravable or laser-cut surface (A4) 325 x 238 mm and (A5) 230 x 180 mm, as well as a colorful UV direct print. If you have any special requests, please feel free to send us an e-mail to info@holz-frank.com
Perforation: Our wooden menus have a DIN perforation of 80 mm so that they fit into standard menu holders.
Our wooden menus are a versatile and high-quality product that you can use for various purposes. If you have any further questions or special requests, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Care Instructions for Wooden Products
To ensure lasting enjoyment of our high-quality wooden items, we recommend regular and gentle care. Wood is a natural material – each piece is unique – and deserves special attention in daily use.
Cleaning
Never clean wooden products in the dishwasher. The combination of heat, moisture, and detergents can permanently damage the wood. Instead, wipe the surface with a damp cloth and a little mild dish soap. Dry thoroughly with a clean towel immediately afterward.
Drying
Do not leave wooden products wet or place them on a heat source. Always let them air dry while standing upright. This helps prevent warping or cracking.
Oiling
To keep the surface smooth and resilient, we recommend treating the wood regularly with a natural oil – such as cold-pressed linseed oil. The oil protects against moisture, enhances the wood grain, and gives it a warm appearance.
Apply the oil sparingly to the clean, dry surface using a soft cloth. Wipe off any excess after about 15 minutes and allow it to dry completely – ideally overnight.
Important Notes
- Avoid soaking in water for extended periods.
- Keep away from direct heat or sunlight.
- Oiled wood may darken slightly over time – this is a natural process.
With the right care, your wooden product will remain a durable and natural companion in everyday life. If you have questions or need product recommendations, we’re happy to help!
