The right length for your shepherd's crook Choosing the right stick length depends on your height and preferences. Here is a short guide to choosing the right length: Standard length: 110-135 cm, ideal for most adults Height: The pole length should be around 65-75% of your height. For 175 cm, we recommend a pole of 115-130 cm. For children: Recommended length: 85 cm For tall people: Recommended length: 150 cm Adjust the length to your personal needs. Longer poles offer more support on flat trails, while shorter poles prove their worth on steep climbs. Safety information Material note: The walking pole is made of durable, high-quality wood. The hemp cord and metal tip ensure safety and stability on various surfaces. Secure grip: The hemp cord loop provides a secure grip, especially on long hikes. Care instructions If necessary, clean the walking stick with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid prolonged contact with water to protect the wood. Cleaning

Oiling

To keep the surface smooth and resilient, we recommend treating the wood regularly with a natural oil – such as cold-pressed linseed oil. The oil protects against moisture, enhances the wood grain, and gives it a warm appearance.

Apply the oil sparingly to the clean, dry surface using a soft cloth. Wipe off any excess after about 15 minutes and allow it to dry completely – ideally overnight.

Oiled wood may darken slightly over time – this is a natural process.
