Our clipboards are handmade in-house from high-quality ash A/B plywood with a heartwood layer and MDF core, making them very stable and resistant to warping. They are therefore a long-lasting and attractive choice for anyone who values quality and aesthetics.

Size for DIN A5: 23 × 16 × 0.5 cm
Size for DIN long: 32.6 × 13 × 0.5 cm
Size for DIN A4: 32.6 × 22 × 0.5 cm
Size for DIN A3: 44 × 31.7 × 0.5 cm

Custom sizes / special shapes:
Adjusted to DIN paper formats (+/− 5 cm) and available in almost any shape. Simply send your desired shape or text to info@holz-frank.com

Please note that for custom sizes and shapes, a one-time laser setup fee of €8.50 net applies regardless of quantity. Please select the appropriate surcharge for special shapes.

Surface treatments:
We offer various surface options for our products.

This includes the raw, untreated surface with a natural feel, which is more sensitive to dirt.

Another option is the oiled surface, treated with linseed oil varnish. It provides a natural touch, a darker tone, and highlights the wood grain. This surface is dirt-repellent and washable, but must be allowed to dry.

A third option is the lacquered surface, sealed with clear varnish. It has a smooth feel, accentuates the wood grain, and is both dirt-resistant and disinfectable.

Clip mechanisms:
We also offer various clip mechanisms for mounting. These include metal clips in four different colors, clips in a used look (rusty or antique brass), and ring binder mechanisms.

Extras:

Corner protectors:
Our corner protectors are a practical addition to your clipboard, especially in hospitality or other high-use environments. Clipboards are often dropped, which can damage the corners. With our corner protectors, you can ensure that your clipboard stays protected while maintaining a premium appearance.

The corner color is matched to the color of the clip for a harmonious overall look. Exceptions include copper clips, which are paired with black corners, and used-look clipboards, which are equipped with antique brass corners. If you prefer a different color combination, please mention it in the comments field and we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.

Elastic band:
Our clipboard offers an additional way to secure your papers. The integrated elastic band allows you to fix your documents securely, preventing them from slipping or flapping in the wind. This lets you focus on your work without worrying about lost or damaged papers. This practical feature supports you in working efficiently and professionally.

We offer the option to personalize your clipboard with various printing methods such as laser engraving, branding, screen printing, and UV direct printing.

For most of our clipboards, the engraving is placed centrally on the back by default. If you prefer a different placement, please let us know in the comments.
To precisely determine the engraving size, we provide a downloadable and printable template. This ensures your engraving fits exactly as desired.

Unfortunately, due to high material and shipping costs, we cannot offer free sample shipments. Please order product samples directly through our online shop.

Care Instructions for Wooden Products

To ensure lasting enjoyment of our high-quality wooden items, we recommend regular and gentle care. Wood is a natural material – each piece is unique – and deserves special attention in daily use.

Cleaning

Never clean wooden products in the dishwasher. The combination of heat, moisture, and detergents can permanently damage the wood. Instead, wipe the surface with a damp cloth and a little mild dish soap. Dry thoroughly with a clean towel immediately afterward.

Drying

Do not leave wooden products wet or place them on a heat source. Always let them air dry while standing upright. This helps prevent warping or cracking.

Oiling

To keep the surface smooth and resilient, we recommend treating the wood regularly with a natural oil – such as cold-pressed linseed oil. The oil protects against moisture, enhances the wood grain, and gives it a warm appearance.

Apply the oil sparingly to the clean, dry surface using a soft cloth. Wipe off any excess after about 15 minutes and allow it to dry completely – ideally overnight.

Important Notes

Avoid soaking in water for extended periods.
Keep away from direct heat or sunlight.
Oiled wood may darken slightly over time – this is a natural process.
